Congregate dining programs for seniors were serving thousands of elderly residents in Palm Beach County until Covid-19 forced meal sites to shut down.  This left many seniors in our community unsure of how and when they would get their next meal.

With support from the Area Agency on Aging, and partnership with Too Jay’s, Chef Corp., and Jack Scalisi Wholesale Fruit and Produce, the Volen Center mobilized their meal site programs.  

Volen Center buses that previously brought clients to the Volen Center began delivering meals directly to their homes.  

Additionally, curbside pick-up was established at Volen Center meal sites in Delray Beach and Boynton Beach.  

The Volen Center team has proudly provided 74,972 meals as of September 2020.
