Program Assistant in Adult Day Care
Full Time, Monday through Friday, 8-hour shifts, schedules vary from 7:00 am-6:00 pm. Hourly Pay, Medical, Dental, Generous Paid Time Off.
Responsibilities are:
- Assist in attending to the clients in the Adult Day Care program. This includes facilitating fun programs and activities, serving lunch and light cleaning.
- Assist clients in ambulating and physical requirements for participating in the Adult Day Care program. This includes assisting with bladder and/or bowel requirements, bathing as required, and feeding if appropriate.
- Employees must have experience in working with the elderly. Must be able to lift, bend, pull and push to assist consumers in transferring, toileting and pushing wheelchairs. As needed employee will cleanup spills, drips, and mishaps. Must have creative and motivational skills, basic mathematical skills, and be able to communicate on all levels. Must be assertive and flexible in handling and assisting consumers regarding programs and activities.
